Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about working with 8Folk: getting started, services, timelines, communication and support.

Getting started

Getting started

How do I start a project with 8Folk?

Send us a message through the contact page with a few details about your business and goals. We will reply to arrange a short call and discuss next steps.

What information should I prepare?

A brief description of your business, what you want to achieve, any deadlines, and examples of websites, brands or campaigns you like. A rough budget range also helps us suggest a realistic scope.

Do you offer a free initial consultation?

We are happy to have an initial conversation to understand your needs and explain how we could help before you commit to anything.

Services

Services

Can I use just one service?

Yes. Many clients start with a single service, such as a website or SEO, and add others later.

Do you work on existing websites, apps and brands?

Yes. We can improve, maintain or extend existing work after reviewing it.

Do you build on WordPress?

WordPress is one of the platforms we use for business websites. For e-commerce and applications we recommend the technology that best fits the project.

Process and timelines

Process and timelines

How long does a typical project take?

Timelines depend on scope, complexity and how quickly content and feedback are available. We share a proposed timeline once the scope is agreed, and keep you updated if anything changes.

How are prices decided?

Each project is quoted based on its scope. We do not publish fixed prices because requirements vary widely. You will receive a written estimate before work starts.

Will I be involved during the project?

Yes. We share progress at agreed milestones and ask for your feedback before moving to the next stage.

Communication

Communication

How will we communicate?

Through email, scheduled video calls and messaging, depending on what suits you. Each project has a clear point of contact.

Do you work with international clients?

Yes. We work remotely and agree meeting times that suit both time zones.

Maintenance and support

Maintenance and support

What happens after my website or app launches?

We offer maintenance and support plans covering updates, backups, monitoring, fixes and improvements. You can also manage things yourself — we will hand over everything you need.

Do you guarantee uptime or complete security?

No provider can honestly guarantee 100% uptime or absolute security. We reduce risk with regular updates, monitoring and tested backups, and respond promptly when issues arise.

Who owns the work when the project is finished?

Ownership and usage rights are set out in each project agreement. Typically, final deliverables transfer to the client once the project is complete and paid for.
